Podczas okupacji młodsze dzieci ( ok. 5 lat) zajmowały się głównie wypasaniem gęsi i krów na łąkach. Zbierały także owoce i warzywa, które były przeznaczone na sprzedaż. Starsze dzieci, szczególnie chłopcy pomagali rodzicom w pracach polowych: żniwa , sianokosy, zbieranie ziemniaków. Dzieci około 13 roku życia były zmuszane przez Niemców do robienia okopów. Pracowano od  07.00 do 16.00.

Dużo dzieci pracowało także w magazynach przy pracach porządkowych. Każdego ranka meldowały swą obecność u niemieckich żołnierzy. Spano w tzw.”barłogach”, na słomie gdzie wokół było dużo insektów.

PRACA

During the occupation younger children (at the age of 5) pastured the cattle in the meadow and looked after the geese as well. They picked fruit and vegetables which were often put on the market. Older children, especially boys helped their parents to do arable work like harvesting, haymaking, ploughing and so called ‘wykopki’ – reaping the potatoes. Children at the age of 13 were forced by German people to make fortifications. They usually worked from 7 a.m to 4 p.m. A lot of children worked in stores and did various trifling work there, like cleaning, putting tools in order or sweeping out. They had to make reports about their presence to the German officers every day. They slept in so called ‘barlogi’, on the straw along with many insects.

WORK

Pendant que les enfants plus jeunes travailler à la ferme (dès l'âge de 5 ans) pour pâturer le bétail dans le pré ou s’occuper des oies, les femmes sélectionner des fruits et des légumes qu’elles vendaient souvent sur le marché. Des enfants plus âgés, particulièrement les garçons, aidaient leurs parents à effectuer les labeurs comme moissonner, ramasser le foins, labourer et s’occuper de la récolte de pommes de terre. Des enfants à 13 ans étaient forcés par des Allemands de faire des fortifications. Ils travaillaient habituellement de 7 heures du matin à 16 h.
Beaucoup d'enfants travaillaient dans les magasins et effectuaient de divers travaux divers, comme le nettoyage, mettre des outils dans l'ordre ou balayer dehors. Ils ont dû faire des rapports au sujet de leur présence aux officiers Allemands chaque jour. Ils ont dormi dans le prétendu « barlogi », sur la paille avec beaucoup d'insectes.
