The Kosovo is a little country in Southern Europe not recognized by all countries. The war in Kosovo was caused by the conflict between the two principal communities, the Albanians and the Serbs. The people left Kosovo because they were frightened by the war and the repression of the political police.
This war began the 24th of March 1999.
The soldiers burn houses and murder the people which provoked an exodus. The people went in other countries of Europe.
The Serbian forces expulsed 862 979 Albanians from Kosovo into Macedonia and Albania. Many hundred more was expulsed into this country. More than 80% of the Kosovopopulation were expulsed from their homes.
The 17th February 2008, the Kosovo became independence from
Serbia.
