WELCOME TO CANTERBURY

We are going to write about the town of Canterbury, its Cathedral and one of its museums. Live our  adventure to Canterbury! Let’s go!

THE TOWN:

 It’s a shop’s ceiling

Canterbury is located not far from Dover about a two hour drive to Dover.

The city is very nice and welcoming. The houses are organized, the shops too. The streets are in pebble and they are very clean. There are streets with shops where you can buy  souvenirs. Some shops are original.

Canterbury is the town for pilgrimage. In the Middle Ages, people came to Canterbury: they were called the pilgrims. This city has got one museum which tells the stories from that time.

Now, we are going to write about the pilgrimages through the museum.

In Canturbury a lot of  doors look like these,

and houses look like  these.

 CANTERBURY’S MUSEUM:

The museum is in the center of the town. It’s  about the Middle Ages . First, when we entered  the museum, a woman gave us  headphones with a sort of remote control to choose the right langage.  After, we began plunging into the Middle Ages. We met  Goeffrey Chaucer (who was a poet) and a lot of pilgrims. We learnt that Thomas Beckett was an archbishop after, he became a saint. Pilgrims told stories and the best would win a dinner.  When we finished the visit, we could buy souvenirs about the Middle Ages in the museum’s shop.

After the visit, you could eat in a fish and chipsfish and chips in Canterbury

  Canterbury cathedral.

IN OUR OPINION:

We think, this museum is very interesting. It deals very well with the  Middle Ages.

         Go to England, to Canterbury!!!

This town is very interesting and nice!
