A good trip in Great Britain

We went to England on Sunday 9th March. The trip lasted 12 hours to arrive at Calais.

At Calais we crossed the channel by boat (ferry). The crossing lasted 1h30. During the crossing we watched TV, walked, ate, drank and played video games. Some people were seasick. The channel was very agitated. There were large waves. When we arrived it rained and the weather was cold. We initially arrived at Dover.

Then we visited Hastings. This city is in the south east of England. In Hastings, we visited “the Smuggler’s Adventures”. Unfortunately, we could not visit the castle because there was too much wind. The Smuggler’s Adventures is a museum of smuggling. The afternoon we went to Brighton and ate in a park. Brighton is in the south of Great Britain. In Brighton, there are 2 piers (The Brighton pier and the love pier). We had free time and in this  time we went shopping and walked. In the end of the day we went to the family in Little Hampton.

The End

The afternoon, we visited the city of Canterbury. It’s a beautiful city. Canterbury is in the east of England (in a Kent). There is “Canterbury Tales”. “The Canterbury Tales” written by Geoffrey Chancer in 14th century. In 1170, Thomas Becket was murdered in the cathedral. In Canterbury, there are typical pubs, it’s “the even hill”, “wood pack”, “the Cuban”. There is a river in the center too, it’s “Riverstown”. On the arms of Canterbury, we saw the heraldic leopard with the three black tails. This trip was very good!

The next day we went to London. It was the best day. In London, we visited the British museum. We saw big Ben, Birmingham palace, Westminster, Tower Bridge, St James Park, Green Park and Westminster Bridge. We visited the district of the city. The monuments are beautiful. The afternoon of this day, we had free time. The last day, we said goodbye to the family. The morning we went to supermarket to buy food. After we had free time and went to shop. We ate in a park. This day it was cold.
