Our trip in Brighton

We went to Great Britain from March 8th to 14th 2008. We have used the bus, the ferry boat and the channel tunnel. The crossing was long, one hour thirty. We had breakfast, we visited the ferry boat. We stayed in Great Britain four days.

The first day, on morning; we saw Smugglers Adventures. It was in Hasting, in Sussex. It was raining and windy. On afternoon, we had to go to Hastings castle but it was too wind. So we visited Hastings and we shopped. It was good but the weather was not good.

It was in Hasting.

The second day, we went to Brighton. We have visited Art Museum, Palace Pier and Lanes in Brighton. Brighton is a beautiful town. Afternoon, we have visited the Booth Museum. It was very interesting. Brighton is in Sussex. They are two piers in Brighton.

Thursday the 13th of March, we visited Canterbury in the morning and Canterbury Tales in the afternoon. We shopped. It was very interesting. After we took Euro star.

Our host family was very nice. We were by family Ayling. The father was a builder, the mother was a housewife. They have four children : Cordélia, Tom, Gabrielle and James. They were 16, 13, 11 and 7 years old. They have two cats, six fish, one badger and a stupid dog.

For the breakfast, we ate Nutella toasts, marmelade toasts, cereal, fruits and orange juice. For the packed lunch, we ate sandwiches with too much butter. For the evening meal, we ate shepherd’s pie, chips, patatoes, chicken, vegetable, pudding, fruits and cabbage. The pudding is disgusting.

We bought souvenirs : tea, umbrella, bag, pens, …

Wednesday the 12th of March, we visited the British Museum in London. On afternoon, we visited London, we saw Big-Ben, the London Eye, the Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Minister, Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square, Saint Paul Cathedral, Thames and Westminster Abbey. We shopped in London. The monuments are very beautiful and it was very interesting.

It was a very good and interesting trip.
