We went to the agricultural school of Bonnefont.

We left at 1pm by bus and we arrived there around 1:30pm.

We attended a lecture of about 20 minutes in an amphitheater room. The headmaster of the school and the director of the farm told us about the operation of their school.

They explained that there are 3 agricultural schools in Auvergne, which attracts many students who come from far away. They sleep in a boarding school, to enrich their daily life, they can do sports activities such as rugby …

Students can do internships lasting one week.

Around 2:00 pm, the manager of the farm took us on a tour of the premises. First we had to wear plastic bags to protect our shoes from mud. The rest of the visit takes place quickly: we saw cows, many cows, including a black Auvergnate cow.

We went back to a number of workshops where we saw the way famers maintaining their animals. We have witnessed the processing of cows, the steps to be taken to switch fermented milk to treated milk.

After that we went to see the «Bizets» sheeps, a typical breed of Auvergne and very rare.
